In-kind technical and infrastructure support (not a cash grant or loan): quality planting material of CSIR/CIMAP-developed varieties, agro-technology packages, community/cluster distillation units (fixed and mobile), training in cultivation, distillation and value addition, and buy-back/market linkage with industry for essential oils.

सावधानी

1) Not a financial scheme: there is no subsidy percentage, loan, cap or DIC/bank route; benefits flow only through a CSIR-organised cluster, so an individual attar unit in Kannauj cannot 'apply' for a grant. 2) Attar/perfumery manufacturing is not an eligible activity as such; the Mission stops at essential-oil distillation and value addition, so attar-makers benefit indirectly as buyers of oils or as cluster distillation partners. 3) Buy-back is a market-linkage arrangement with industry partners, not a government price guarantee/MSP. 4) Crop focus is decided by the lab (Phase III emphasises lavender in J&K, citronella/lemongrass/patchouli in NE); Kannauj-relevant crops (damask rose, geranium, mint, vetiver, palmarosa) fall under CIMAP but no Kannauj-specific Phase-III cluster document was found. 5) No GO/notification number exists to cite; portals carry no sanction order. 6) Mission portal (aromamission.cimap.res.in) has an expired TLS certificate and the CSIR HQ page returned 404, so figures could not be re-verified against a primary PDF on access date.

CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow (nodal lab; Kannauj lies in its home operating region and CIMAP runs farmer-cluster, planting-material and distillation-unit interventions in UP). No district-level implementing office in Kannauj (DIC, KVIC/UPKVIB, FFDC, CSC, UPSIDA, banks) was found named in any official Aroma Mission document; FFDC Kannauj (MSME) is a separate institution and its formal role in the Mission is not found.
